September News Update (as appearing in Hagley Village News)
An exciting change of pace for members and non-members alike comes with our September offer, a demonstration from Chris Fothergill, architectural illustrator, and artist, showing us the skills of Pen and Wash with Urban Sketching, a challenge for us “can’t draw a straight line “ merchants.
It’s hard to be galloping into the Autumn, but nevertheless, this will be our last demonstration before appraisals, and would you believe it, the Annual Exhibition? So last chance at something new before you gather your thoughts, get your experimental stuff ready for the expert administrations of Keith Turley, our appraiser this year, and be ready for exhibition in November.
Before those winter offerings make you too depressed, weather permitting, there will be at least one more sketch out in September and don’t forget that the Churchill Painting Circle meets every Tuesday afternoon from 2 – 4 for more hands-on opportunities
