Welcome to our first-ever online exhibition: which as the above quote from Plato indicates. may never have happened if it hadn’t been for Covid 19.
Hagley Art Club prides itself on being open to everyone regardless of artistic expertise, from the enthusiastic amateur to the competent professional, but unfortunately the website creation is all amateur. The website editor welcomes any constructive criticism, especially if it is the “how to” variety, but anything too harsh will cause her to curl up in a ball and never come out again. The only worry is that the site will not adequately showcase the incredible talent we have in Hagley Art Club and I hope viewers will recognise the limitations of digital printing even with the most professional application.
This is how it works:
Each artist has up to five works. produced in the last 12 months. under their own name banner. They are featured in alphabetical order and each painting can be viewed by left-clicking on the image itself. (It will work slightly differently on a mobile phone or tablet)
Some of the paintings are for sale and should anyone wish to purchase a work, the club will put them in touch with the artist to organise that. Simply use the Contact Us form by clicking on that button heading above
All artists will be interested in a viewer’s opinion of their work so if you would like to comment, then please also use the Contact Us form for that purpose too or in fact for any other reason or we can be contacted on the dedicated email address hagleyartclub583@gmail.com
