Mark Warner Zoom Demo

On 26th January we joined with Fareham Art Club for a zoom demo by the wonderful Mark Warner. Mark adores using colour whilst interpreting the light, weather conditions and a love for the materials. He works directly in the field (literally on many occasions!) from sketches created oiutside as well as notes and photos taken on location, then worked back in the studio.

Despite the dark and dreary weather of late January, Mark bought us a sunlight wheat field without us leaving the cosy comfort of our own homes by the power of the internet in his Zoom demonstration. Working in acrylic paint, he showed us how he builds the artwork stage by stage explaining how he works from mid-tones and then adding in his lights and darks afterwards.
